NoiaCast Vol.01 @ Dj Rusty

In early 2009, the Drumbass.com.br proudly presents the return of NóiaCast our official podcast, now always with guest DJs. The first edition of February 2009 has mixed a set of one of the names of the new generation of drum'n'bass in Brazil, Sao Paulo's DJ and producer Rusty. Commanding an own label, the Promo Audio Recordings, Rusty had a busy year in 2008.

Listen to Cast Noia 01 and check out the mini-interview where Rusty talks about his projects and pro set recorded Drumbass.com.br>

How did you work with music in the last year?

Well, I worked a lot with music in 2008 with my project Garage, in Guarulhos, leading the drum n bass for that region. In addition to this party, also worked a lot with my radio programs on the web. On the site here in Brazil, hypernoise.com.br with the program Garage On Line, and I present all the Kaiba DJ Wednesdays, and also my program on site English www.krisisdnb.com with the program Promo Audio Show , which airs every Monday, from 8:30 pm (local time here in Brazil). And all this will continue in 2009. It has a lot to do.

How did the idea of running an own label and what the main difficulties you face with it? How does the distribution and sales as it has been?

The idea of the seal is already quite old, but I start on February 3 last year. I always wanted to be able to command a label, sign songs, etc ... The problem I have right now is just spreading it out. To doing what I can to promote, have a crowd out there that helps me on websites, radio stations, DJs who play the songs that speak of the seal, etc ... In Brazil, for living here, it's easier. The difficulty here is that everybody stopped buying the same disc. There are many people who still buy records, but many have stopped, then pro seal is difficult to survive here, not only mine, but any one, unfortunately ... which casts Seal vinyl 12 "digital seal is another story.

Regarding the distribution, working with distributor Nu-Urban music, www.nu-urbanmusic.co.uk, one of the major distributors throughout Europe. It's going very well seal, sales are great and getting to do legal work. In February one year now complete and I'm on the 3rd release, and very happy with this achievement that both sought. Today I am proud to know that I have a label that represents Brazil in style jump up, because until then had never seen another one in that style. I know that many here do not like the DJ style, do not buy the discs, but I always think of you guys that likes to work. I actually think this a great bullshit, like liquid, do not like to jump up, like neuro liquid ... not like stupid bitch, because thinking this way, the drum n bass only have to lose. Taste is taste, each one has its own, but I am tired of seeing out there ridiculous comments from people who say they "like drum n bass" sticking your dick in their own style, just because it jump up, liquid, neuro etc ...

How would you rate the line of sound that has been producing and playing? What are your biggest influences?

I classify my style of production even as Jump Up, to do music track. Before I start doing I always thought "I want you guys to produce dance music, no matter what your style, but I always see people dancing at parties." I have influences from outside the drum n bass, because what I did was to start producing its own DB.

Can you tell us a little about the mix?

Well, I'll make a set more deep, more bass line etc ... I love music with groove, which involves you in track and stuff ... I'll try to do this on this set, with some productions too. :)

What lies ahead in 2009 to DJ Rusty?

In this year of 2009 have some releases will soon be in stores for seals in Europe, releases on my label as well. My project with DJ Kaiba, "Project Garage" in full force this year, a project that this year is 6 years. I get the seal of the sub Promo Audio called "Promo Audio Liquid." As the name implies, released more music in the style liquid of national and international artists. That's ... Super big ups to all!
